Role: Kenwith Castle, Abbotsham, Bideford, North Devon EX39 5BE
Pay: £13.35 per hour
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working
Shift Patterns Available: We offer flexible shift patterns, with working hours typically between 8:00am and 6:00pm. Exact start and finish times will be discussed and agreed with the Home Manager to support the needs of the home while taking your availability into consideration.
Come and join our team at Kenwith Castle, a 54 bed residential and dementia care home in Bideford.
You’ll be able to support our residents in a safe and caring environment where they can live their lives as if in the comfort of their own home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the daily delivery of all housekeeping and laundry services including supervision of the housekeeping and laundry team.
- Ensuring that cleaning, laundry and domestic equipment is maintained by staff in accordance with manufacturing instructions and health & safety guidelines.
- All minor faults and repairs are reported promptly and recorded.
- Ensuring that rooms for viewing are presented to a high standard.
- Preparing schedules which identify and allocate responsibility for daily, weekly, monthly, annual and cyclical cleaning / maintenance tasks.
- Ordering stock of cleaning products and PPE including ensuring all First Aid boxes are appropriately stocked and sited in accessible areas in the event of an emergency.

- Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential - but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!
- A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.
- Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
