Head Housekeeper
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team at a luxury hotel in Thurso.
- The ideal candidate must have high standards and excellent attention to detail, with proven experience in leading a team
- This is a full-time temporary role for candidates who would require accommodation with potential for the role to become permanent for candidates local to Thurso or willing to relocate
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff
- Schedule daily rotas and monitor staff performance
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Manage housekeeping supplies and linens
- Coordinate room availability and priorities with front desk and maintenance teams
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns
- Report maintenance issues and follow up on repairs
- Develop and maintain cleaning procedures and quality standards
- Assist with cleaning duties when required
- Prepare reports on housekeeping operations, staffing, and supplies

Requirements
Essential
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Ability to lead a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- High standards and attention to detail
- Due to location of role, own transport is essential (also applies for any live-in candidates)
