Head Housekeeper – Eastridge Manor

Location: Bolney, Nr Haywards Heath, West Sussex Hours: 40 per week Salary: £14.00 per hour (£14/h, pay as you earn!) Type: Full-time

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Housekeeper at Eastridge Manor, our dementia and nursing home in Bolney.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing, and supervising all cleaning in the home, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels to support operational continuity.
  • Conducting audits to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Supervising and supporting the domestic team, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or cleaning—essential for this position.
  • Desirable qualifications:
    • Health and Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
    • NVQ in Housekeeping/Cleaning—an asset.
  • Supervisory skills or experience to lead and support your team.
  • Experience with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)—familiarity required.
  • A commitment to pride in work, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents.
