Head Maitre D

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior host or Maître D’ role in a premium or high-volume venue
  • Genuinely passionate about people, food, and hospitality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with a natural ability to multitask under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for guests.
  • Flexible with evening and weekend availability

Responsibilities

  • As Head Maître D’, you will be the first impression and final farewell for every guest. Your role is to orchestrate a seamless welcome, manage the flow of service from the front, and work closely with the restaurant team to ensure a smooth, memorable experience for each guest. You'll thrive on connection, handle high-energy service periods with grace, and keep a cool head when the dining room is buzzing.
  • Act as the face of the venue, warmly greeting and seating guests with professionalism and flair .
  • Handle guest enquiries and complaints with discretion, empathy, and swift resolution.
  • Foster a positive atmosphere by maintaining a friendly, calm and courteous demeanour whilst working in a fast paced environment. manage waitlists during peak times and manage expectations by keeping guests informed of wait times.
  • Collaborative teamwork, communicate effectively with front of house team to ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests.
