Head of Accounts
Wine Lister is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly organised Account Manager to join our fine wine consulting agency.

Wine Lister is a fine wine consulting agency at the crossroads of strategy and storytelling. Since 2016, we’ve helped leading wineries turn opportunities into bold projects – from distribution and brand positioning to PR and market launches.
Wine Lister is a subsidiary of Groupe Figaro, France’s leading national media group.
JOB SUMMARY
Working closely with the CEO and COO, the Head of Accounts plays a central role in the management, development, and growth of Wine Lister’s marketing, communications, and events clients. The role oversees the Account Management team, ensuring high-quality delivery across client accounts, strong strategic alignment, and continued development of client relationships.
Position: Head of Accounts
Location: Victoria, London (39 days of remote work per year, including up to three days abroad*)
Start date: July / August 2026
Salary: £42-50k per annum, depending on experience
Holiday: 24 days excluding public holidays

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team management and leadership
- Oversee the Account Management team, supporting their day-to-day work, priorities and development, ensuring client deadlines are always met
- Ensure clear allocation of responsibilities across accounts and projects
- Provide guidance, feedback, and training to Account Managers, helping them develop their strategic, organisational, and client-facing skills
- Support the team in managing workloads, resolving challenges, and maintaining high standards of creativity and delivery

Senior account management
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of international fine wine clients, ensuring excellent service across marketing, communications, and events
- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, providing strategic guidance and ensuring activity remains aligned with their objectives
- Review and support client plans, campaign calendars, budgets, reporting and deliverables
- Ensure client accounts are managed proactively, commercially, creatively, and with a strong understanding of each estate’s identity, USPs, and priorities
Relationship building
- Develop relationships with importers, distributors, restaurants, collectors, and other key industry stakeholders
- Represent Wine Lister and its clients professionally at tastings, trade fairs, events, and meetings
Lead generation & retention
- Carry out client prospection and retention, identifying opportunities to win new business and renew existing accounts
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Account management, marketing, communications, events, or brand strategy
- Experience managing several clients and projects simultaneously, ideally in an agency or client-facing environment
- Experience leading a team, including mentoring, training and reviewing others’ work
- Experience managing senior client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Good knowledge of the fine wine market and key international wine regions
- Proven ability to generate exciting and memorable campaign concepts
- Experience creating high-quality visual assets and proficiency using PowerPoint, Canva, etc.
- Native-level English required, bilingual French or Italian preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- Wine knowledge: pre-existing knowledge and passion for wine, particularly fine wines
