Head of Accounts Payable

The Head of Accounts Payable will lead the accounts payable function within a global private equity firm, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments across the management company and investment structures. The role requires a proactive finance leader focused on process efficiency, controls, and compliance.

Description

  • Lead and manage the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes to improve the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve financial operations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Profile

A Successful Head Of Accounts Payable Should Have

  • A strong background in accounting and finance.
  • Previous experience managing an accounts payable function or team within Financial Services.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage and develop a team.
  • A professional accounting qualification or relevant education is preferred.
