Head of AI Transformation | Cardiff / Hybrid | £80,000 - £100,000
The Opportunity
We're partnering with a global consultancy to appoint a Head of AI Transformation, a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping how artificial intelligence transforms the organisation's operations across its international business.
This is an opportunity to define and deliver a firm-wide AI strategy that drives operational excellence, improves the way people work and embeds AI into the heart of the business. Working closely with executive leadership, you'll identify where AI can create genuine value, champion innovation where appropriate and ensure robust governance and responsible adoption across the organisation.
You'll lead the AI Transformation function, setting the strategic direction while overseeing the successful delivery of AI initiatives that enhance productivity, streamline processes and support the firm's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the organisation's enterprise AI strategy and roadmap.
- Drive AI-enabled operational excellence across global business functions.
- Lead and develop the AI Transformation team.
- Identify, prioritise and deliver high-value AI initiatives.
- Establish and maintain AI governance, security and responsible AI standards.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and make strategic build versus buy decisions.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to align AI investment with business priorities.
- Champion AI adoption through training, engagement and change management.
- Manage AI budgets, suppliers and technology partnerships.
- Measure and communicate the impact of AI initiatives across the organisation.

About You
We're looking for an experienced transformation leader with a proven track record of delivering enterprise AI initiatives that have generated measurable business value.
You'll be equally comfortable discussing strategy with executive stakeholders and challenging technical teams on delivery, architecture and risk, without needing to be hands-on yourself.
You'll bring:
- Significant experience leading AI, digital or business transformation programmes.
- A track record of delivering AI or intelligent automation solutions into production.
- Strong commercial judgement with experience making strategic technology investment decisions.
- Knowledge of Azure and modern enterprise AI technologies.
- Experience establishing governance frameworks for AI within a complex organisation.
- Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within professional services, consulting or another knowledge-led environment would be advantageous.
