Job Description
This role is part of the Entain Transformation team within the Commercial function.
About the Role
Sports betting, gaming, and interactive entertainment are evolving at a rapid pace, and Transformation is leading the charge. We address complex business challenges that span multiple stakeholders (Sports, Gaming, Compliance) and channels (Digital, Retail). Our ultimate goal is to ensure customers experience best-in-class products and services.
Our fast-paced and challenging environment at Transformation demands out-sized impact, achieved by a small but skilled team.
The Head of AI Transformation is a collaborative role that works cross-functionally with teams including Sports, Gaming, Marketing, Product, Technology, Trading, Customer Services, Procurement, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
AI Agenda
- Own the AI strategy for the Commercial function, aligning it with broader business objectives.
- Leverage deep AI and data-driven expertise to spot high-value business opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Product, Technology, and Customer teams to:
- Gather, structure, and prioritise measurable business opportunities.
- Build an AI opportunity pipeline balancing transformation initiatives and operational insights.
- Translate AI capabilities into commercially viable use cases.

Implementation
- Lead AI initiatives from proof-of-concept to full business adoption, ensuring operational embedding.
- Work with colleagues to upskill and educate on AI tools, both in customer-facing and daily workflows.
- Collaborate with technology teams to develop:
- Execution strategies
- Governance frameworks
- KPIs for success
- Continuously measure AI performance, optimising where possible.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the central leadership for AI initiatives within Commercial.
- Foster strong relationships to:
- Align priorities with senior stakeholders.
- Communicate progress.
- Influence strategic decisions.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring business needs match technology capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- In-depth knowledge of AI technologies.
- Track record of identifying and delivering AI-driven transformation in complex, large-scale organisations.
- Ability to bridge the technical/business divide, translating business challenges into actionable AI solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen—ability to prioritise opportunities, assess value, and drive measurable business growth.
- Experience interacting with C-level executives.
- Sharp analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in establishing governance or technology frameworks for transformation.
