We are hiring a Senior Head of Architecture to join a premier financial services group based in Abu Dhabi. Our client is a major player in the region, focused on delivering scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that align with strategic business goals. This is an impactful leadership role where you will drive technological change across the organisation, chairing key review boards and steering technical authority.

As the Senior Head of Architecture, you will lead the enterprise architecture function, shaping frameworks and roadmaps to establish an architecture-led technology department. You will oversee governance, review major solution architectures, and act as a pivotal link between technical teams and senior business leaders. Managing a talented team, you will ensure all technology initiatives meet regulatory and security standards while driving digital transformation across the group.

Discover the responsibilities
- Translate group strategy into clear operational plans and long-term enterprise architecture roadmaps
- Establish and enforce architecture governance frameworks, standards, and policies across all technology initiatives
- Chair architecture review boards and govern major technology decisions
- Review and approve solution architectures for large-scale initiatives to ensure performance and scalability
- Lead and mentor a team of solution architects, managing performance and professional development
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into high-value product roadmaps
- Ensure all architectural decisions adhere to risk, security, and regulatory compliance standards
- Manage the department budget and monitor financial performance across the business area

Discover the requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or large-scale digital transformation within financial services or highly resilient organizations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field
- Professional qualifications such as TOGAF or equivalent architecture certifications
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, microservices, API management, and cybersecurity principles
- Strong experience working with agile methodologies and managing stakeholder relationships
- Proven leadership experience managing teams
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior business leaders
