Head of AI & Innovation
Location: Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad (India) – with relocation to the UK (London) within one month.
Experience: 15+ Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
Sandhata Technologies is looking for a visionary Head of AI & Innovation to lead our AI strategy, innovation initiatives, and AI practice. The successful candidate will build AI-driven solutions, establish innovation frameworks, engage with customers, and create reusable AI accelerators that drive business growth.
This role will initially be based in India, with relocation to the UK. Applicants must be willing to relocate to the UK within one month. Sandhata will sponsor the UK Skilled Worker Visa for the selected candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the AI & Innovation strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing AI and Innovation team.
- Drive adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, and Automation solutions.
- Develop AI products, accelerators, frameworks, and reusable assets.
- Identify innovation opportunities across customer engagements and internal operations.
- Work closely with Delivery, Sales, Practice, and Architecture teams to convert ideas into business value.
- Establish AI governance, security, ethical AI practices, and responsible AI guardrails.
- Create partnerships with technology vendors, universities, and startup ecosystems.
- Support pre-sales activities, customer workshops, solution architecture, and executive presentations.
- Define KPIs, innovation roadmap, and measurable business outcomes for the AI Practice.

Required Skills
- 15+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in AI, Data, Innovation, or Digital Transformation leadership.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, Machine Learning, and AI solution architecture.
- Experience with Azure AI, AWS AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, or similar AI platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of Python and modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or equivalent.
- Experience building enterprise AI platforms, AI products, or innovation programs.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and customer engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with global enterprise customers is highly desirable.

Preferred
- Experience leading AI Centres of Excellence or Innovation Practices.
- Exposure to Banking, Financial Services, Telecom, Manufacturing, or Retail sectors.
- Experience defining AI governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
