Head of Asset Management

Location: London (Hybrid)

At Island Green Power, we're developing the UK’s leading solar and storage NSIP portfolio and are searching for the visionary leader to shape our operational growth.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to develop a comprehensive asset management function from scratch. You won’t inherit a team or established processes—you’ll shape them. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you’ll determine the vision, assemble the team, define frameworks, and set operational performance goals across our expanding utility-scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) portfolio.

Your Core Responsibilities

You’ll oversee the entire asset management lifecycle, encompassing:

  • Cross-functional collaboration during development and construction.
  • Commissioning, handover, and operational excellence.
  • Long-term performance and financial strategy execution.

Key areas of ownership:

  • Recruit, organise, and mentor a high-performing team.
  • Establish the operating model for the asset management arm.
  • Oversee operation and maintenance (O&M) contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure maximum technical, commercial, and financial value delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
