Head of B2C Sales – Residential Renewable Energy & Home Retrofitting
About the Role
We’re seeking a commercially sharp, highly organised, and customer-focused Head of B2C Sales to lead and grow our residential sales activity across renewable energy solutions and home retrofitting, including:
- Heat pumps
- Solar panels
- Batteries
- Insulation
- Smart-tech home energy products
This is a hands-on, sales leadership position. In the early stages, you’ll be our primary sales driving force, converting inbound and partner leads into signed customer contracts with support from internal technical experts. As the business scales, you’ll build systems, processes, and a team to transform B2C sales from a small weekly operation into a high-volume, repeatable sales engine.
The role spans consultative sales, premium customer service, technical solution-selling, and commercial process management. While you don’t need to be a renewables expert from day one, you must bring curiosity, intelligence, and discipline to learn quickly and sell confidently in a technical, high-consideration market.
The Opportunity
The business attracts a growing mix of residential leads through direct enquiries, partner channels, and broader B2B/B2B2C relationships. These customers typically invest between £10,000 and £50,000+ in home energy upgrades.
As the Head of B2C Sales, you’ll own the entire sales journey:
- Qualifying leads
- Understanding customer needs
- Coordinating with internal technical experts
- Maintaining momentum
- Converting high-quality opportunities into profitable projects
This is not a back-office role. It requires: ✔ Proactive outreach (phoning, emailing, in-person visits) ✔ CRM mastery (keeping Salesforce accurate and updated) ✔ Ethical consultative selling—balancing trust, clarity, and commercial success
The business prioritises long-term customer relationships over high-pressure sales tactics. You’ll need adaptability, resilience, and the ability to:
- Explain complex technical solutions simply
- Identify poor-fit leads early
- Build trust with discerning homeowners

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
