About the team In our Professional and Financial Services Business unit, we bring everything we have learned in more than a decade of Applied AI, and use it to help our clients navigate a rapidly changing landscape. We develop and embed AI solutions which help firms become more efficient, enhance customer experience, and find the commercial upside in uncertain markets. About the role Banking is entering a period of profound reinvention. Across retail, commercial and corporate banking, leaders are under pressure to improve productivity, modernise customer journeys, strengthen risk management, and turn AI from a series of pilots into enterprise-wide advantage. Faculty is uniquely placed to help. We combine deep technical expertise in AI with hard-won experience delivering real transformation in complex, regulated environments. We work with senior leaders to move beyond experimentation, designing and deploying AI solutions that create measurable impact across front office, operations, risk, and control functions. We’re looking for a Head of Banking to define and grow our presence in the sector. You will shape our go-to-market strategy, build enduring relationships with senior banking stakeholders, and lead the pursuit and delivery of some of the most ambitious AI transformation programmes in the market. This is an opportunity to build a distinctive banking practice inside a company with world-class technical depth, strong delivery credentials, and the ambition to set the standard for AI in financial services. What you'll be doing Leading complex AI transformation programmes for major banking clients, from strategy formation to AI software delivery Building trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite banking leaders, acting as a trusted advisor on how AI can drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, strengthen risk management, and deepen customer loyalty Generating sales and revenue for Faculty by shaping software design, compelling commercial pitches, and exciting demos that convey Faculty’s technical depth and delivery excellence Elevating Faculty’s industry profile by articulating differentiated banking propositions and points of view through the media and in industry forums Ensuring the successful delivery of a portfolio of high-quality client work across the sector by guiding multidisciplinary teams, maintaining executive confidence, and helping teams navigate ambiguity, pace, and complexity Mentoring and developing colleagues through line management, helping to replicate and reinforce Faculty’s Principles and collegial culture Who we're looking for You bring deep knowledge of banking, having worked in industry You are passionate and enthusiastic about the way AI can deliver better outcomes for banking customers You have a well-developed and distinct point of view on how banks should adopt AI, and how AI will impact the industry You've led large, complex transformation programmes, ideally involving organisational change with data, technology, or AI, for a bank or as a consultant You are commercially minded - excited about hitting commercial targets through shaping opportunities, winning work, growing accounts, and owning meaningful revenue responsibility You are a compelling communicator who builds trust quickly with senior stakeholders and can explain complex technologies clearly You are comfortable switching altitudes - from executive level to delivery to challenge constructively, unblock teams, and maintain quality You have experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, and you care about building an inclusive, intellectually rigorous culture You bring relevant academic or professional grounding in finance, economics, or a related field Our Interview Process Talent Team Screen (40 mins) Introduction Interview (40 mins) Sector Interview with MD Applied AI and Professional and Financial Services Director (90 mins) Executive Interview with Chief Commercial Officer (45 mins) Our Recruitment Ethos We aim to grow the best team - not the most similar one.
