Role Overview

The Head of Pack Development & Deployment will act as the technical authority for battery pack delivery, leading the integration of battery modules, pack systems and Battery Management Systems (BMS) through to customer deployment.

Working within a fast-paced innovation environment, this role will combine technical leadership, programme ownership and stakeholder management to successfully deliver a major battery deployment programme.

Responsibilities

The Head of Pack Development & Deployment will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery of a prototype battery pack through to customer deployment.
  • Overseeing battery module and pack integration activities around proprietary cell technology.
  • Managing Battery Management System (BMS) integration, testing and validation.
  • Leading prototype and low-volume battery pack build activities.
  • Owning project planning, risk management, timelines and technical delivery.
  • Acting as the primary technical interface for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the programme.

Requirements

The Head of Pack Development & Deployment will have:

  • A proven track record delivering battery pack engineering development programmes.
  • Strong experience acting as a technical authority for battery pack integration and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Thermal Regulation, Battery Management Systems (BMS) and energy management systems within evolving product environments.
  • Proven delivery of projects within agile, fast-paced or innovation-led environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including customer, supplier and executive leadership engagement.
  • Excellent project and programme management skills with responsibility for technical delivery, schedules and risk management.
