Head of Brand & Organic
Ancient Remedies is a fast-moving natural health and wellness company on a mission to help people help themselves through holistic medicine. We sell products that help people take more ownership over their health, and we want to build a company people are proud to buy from, work for, and recommend.
We are looking for a Head of Brand & Organic to make Ancient Remedies feel like the most trusted, authoritative, and compelling company in our category. Right now, our direct-response engine is strong, but our brand presence is underbuilt. Our organic social does not reflect the quality or ambition of the company. Our messaging is not consistent enough across channels. Our authority platform is not strong enough. When customers research us, we want them to feel more confident buying from us—not confused, skeptical, or unsure what we stand for. This role exists to fix that.
You will own the trust layer of the company: how we show up on social, how we explain who we are, how we build authority, how we create educational content, how we make customers believe in us, and how we make every public touchpoint feel like one coherent brand.
This is not a corporate brand role. We do not need someone who wants to make pretty decks and talk in vague frameworks. We need a builder with taste, speed, strong judgment, and the ability to turn a messy, high-potential brand into a trusted, high-output content and authority machine.
You will have real ownership. You will work closely with the founder and leadership team, build the function from the ground up, hire or manage the people needed to execute, and create the systems that guide how Ancient Remedies shows up across organic social, YouTube, SEO, expert content, customer messaging, and cross-functional brand standards.
What You’ll Own:
- Brand strategy and messaging: Define how Ancient Remedies sounds, looks, and explains itself, and builds trust across every customer touchpoint.
- Organic social: Build a high-quality organic presence across key platforms, starting with the channels that matter most.
- Authority building: Help us find, position, and develop credible experts and authority figures who can strengthen the brand.
- Content strategy: Create the content pillars, creative direction, and operating rhythm for organic social, YouTube, educational content, and trust-building assets.
- YouTube and long-form authority: Build toward a serious educational content engine that can compound over time.
- SEO and reputation: Help shape the content and search presence that customers see when they look us up.
- Cross-functional consistency: Work with paid media, funnels, email, Shopify, product, customer support, TikTok Shop, Amazon, and compliance so the company feels coherent everywhere.
- Brand guidelines and standards: Create the internal source of truth for messaging, visual direction, tone, claims, expert usage, and content quality.
- Team building: Hire, manage, or coordinate strategists, editors, designers, creators, agencies, and operators as the function grows.
- Measurement: Track the impact of brand and organic through output quality, reach, engagement, branded search, organic traffic, organic revenue assist, customer trust signals, and improved conversion support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone who has built or meaningfully grown a brand, organic content engine, or authority-led media presence before.
You should understand that brand is not just aesthetics. Brand is trust, clarity, authority, consistency, taste, and repetition. You should know how to make a company feel more real, more credible, and more valuable without slowing down the direct-response machine that already drives the business.
You should have strong instincts for content. You can look at an Instagram page, YouTube channel, landing page, email, or product page and quickly identify what feels off, what builds trust, what feels scammy, what feels premium, and what would make a customer more likely to believe.
You should be comfortable in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment. We do not want someone who needs a perfect brief, a large team, or six months to start moving. We want someone who can audit what exists, identify the biggest trust gaps, create a plan, and start improving the company’s public presence quickly.
You will likely be a strong fit if you:
- Have experience in DTC, e-commerce, health/wellness, publishing, education, supplements, or another trust-heavy category.
- Understand the difference between direct response and brand, and know how to make them work together.
- Have excellent taste in organic social, YouTube, educational content, and authority-led brands.
- Can build systems, not just give opinions.
- Are comfortable managing creative people and holding a high bar.
- Know how to turn customer problems, product benefits, founder beliefs, and expert knowledge into compelling content.
- Care about natural health, self-empowerment, and helping people take more control over their lives.
- Move fast, take responsibility, and want a role where your work can visibly change the trajectory of a company.
