Are you passionate about our vision of Devon’s rural, coastal and market towns and communities being thriving, sustainable and inclusive places to live and work? Do you have a talent for and a proven track record in producing compelling and successful funding applications to secure funding from a broad range of funding bodies?

If so, Devon Communities Together has the perfect opportunity for you, and you may be the person we are looking for to join our charity’s Executive Management Team and support the sustainability and growth of our leading Devon rural community development charity.

This is an incredible opportunity for an outstanding Head of Business Development who is strongly aligned with our values and who has the inclusive leadership approach, vision, skills and experience to support and grow the future work of Devon Communities Together. You will need proven experience of:

  • funding bid development
  • public sector procurement processes
  • securing grant funding
  • contract management
  • use of digital tools to support fundraising and reporting analysis
  • identifying and maintaining strategic partnerships

Your responsibilities as Head of Business Development will include business and strategic development, funding development, leadership, operational delivery and profile raising for the charity.

We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic team player to be involved with every stage of the business development process and who also has the skills and experience to develop and deliver a comprehensive organisational and management support service to the CEO.

Do you have the skills, experience and ambition necessary to manage and implement an innovative business development strategy which will generate revenue and diversify our funding base while remaining true to our vision?

Term: Permanent
Salary: £46,654 (SCP42) per annum
Hours: 1 FTE (36.25 hrs/week)
Place of Work: Office (currently Exeter) with hybrid working arrangements
