Head of Business Intelligence
Full Time – 35 Hours
Hybrid Working – 2 Days in Office, Every Thursday
6–12 Month Fixed Term Contract - Potential to go Permanent
£70,000 - £80,000 per Annum
We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Intelligence to join a leading housing provider during an exciting period of transformation. This role will lead the Business Intelligence, Performance and Information Governance functions, driving the development of modern data, reporting and performance frameworks that support strategic decision-making and improved customer outcomes.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's data and performance strategy, leading the delivery of Power BI reporting, performance management, data governance, AI-enabled analytics, and organisational insight across Housing and Care & Support services. Working closely with senior leaders, Board members and operational teams, you will ensure data is transformed into meaningful intelligence that drives accountability, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Head of Business Intelligence General Responsibilities:
- Lead the Business Intelligence, Performance and Information Governance teams, ensuring the delivery of accurate, insightful and timely reporting
- Develop and implement data, performance and information management strategies that support organisational objectives
- Produce and oversee Board reports, KPI scorecards, regulatory submissions and performance dashboards
- Drive the development of Power BI reporting, data integration and business intelligence capabilities across the organisation
- Lead improvements in data quality, governance, ownership and information assurance frameworks
- Deliver strategic insight, trend analysis and predictive reporting to support evidence-based decision making
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Governance and IT to improve organisational performance
- Support the organisation's transformation programme through modern reporting, analytics and data-led improvements
- Manage departmental budgets, performance objectives and the ongoing development of a high-performing team

Ideal Head of Business Intelligence Candidate:
- Extensive experience operating at Head of Business Intelligence, Head of Performance, Head of Data & Analytics or equivalent senior leadership level
- Demonstrates initiative and creativity, generating innovative ideas to enhance reporting, performance management, data governance and operational efficiency
- Advanced Power BI, SQL and data reporting expertise
- Strong background within Housing Associations, Social Housing, Social Care, Charity, NHS or similarly regulated environments
- Highly organised with excellent project and stakeholder management skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities and comfortable operating autonomously
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and Board members
- Able to hit the ground running, quickly assessing existing performance frameworks, reporting processes and data quality issues
- Experience leading high-performing analytical or business intelligence teams
- Strong knowledge of data quality, information governance and regulatory reporting requirements
- Exposure to AI-enabled analytics, automation and advanced reporting tools
