The Head of Business, Law and Humanities will provide the leadership and vision to deliver excellent student success through the development of teaching, learning and assessment, and curriculum innovation in the fields of Business, Law and Humanities; as well as maintaining quality assurance and enhancement that embeds outstanding collaborative working with both the University and the Study Group network.

You will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of academic tutors, ensuring that all Business, Law and Humanities modules across all courses and programmes are delivered to a high standard; following the agreed curriculum and utilising agreed assessment modes, resulting in the best possible outcomes for students and the best possible student experience.

Reporting to the Director of Campus Operations, you will work closely with colleagues within and outside CUISC and be accountable for the delivery of contractually required progression rates to the University. The successful applicant will support the Director of Campus Operations in the overall management of CUISC, consequently, applicants must have a proven track record of effectively and efficiently running a small to medium large sized academic department, with experience of managing different curriculum pathways, a number of direct reports and rigorous and robust quality assurance processes.

Engaging and collaborating effectively with the Director of Campus Operations and academic subject tutors is key to the success of the curriculum delivery, and the successful candidate should bring with them a strong desire to take a holistic approach to the student academic experience.

The candidate should also have experience in managing and developing relationships with external stakeholders and partners to improve student outcomes and ensure a positive student experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
