About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Head Of Business Unit to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving significant project growth, with a clear mandate to scale and significantly increase our operations and outcomes. You will serve as a key strategic Leader, leveraging your start-up experience to navigate challenges, identify growth opportunities, and execute high-impact commercial initiatives.
Responsibilities
Strategic Growth & Commercial Leadership
- End-to-End P&L Ownership: Take full accountability for the P&L of the assigned business unit. Drive top-line growth and margin optimization, ensuring the unit exceeds its scaling targets.
- Strategic Roadmap Definition: Develop and own the 12–24 month growth strategy. Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, product categories, or monetization channels that materially move the needle.
- Operational Scaling: Transition from "founder-mode" execution to building scalable processes. Institutionalize repeatable playbooks for category management, supplier onboarding, and performance monitoring that enable sustained, rapid growth.
- Commercial Experimentation: Foster a high-velocity testing culture. Build the framework for hypothesis-driven development, design, launch, measure, and iterate on large-scale initiatives that unlock new revenue streams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Requirements
Growth & Operational Experience
- Proven Scale-Up Track Record: Demonstrated experience in a high-growth B2C start-up or marketplace environment highly preferred within the Digital Products ecosystem. You have personally owned a growth metric and successfully scaled it significantly (e.g., from early-stage to high-scale operations).
- Strategic & Numerical Literacy: Exceptional commercial and numerical acumen. You do not just read data—you build sophisticated models, surface non-obvious insights, and translate complex metrics into clear, actionable business strategies.
- Expertise in Complex Initiatives: A history of leading large-scale projects from concept to market-ready execution. You have experience navigating the friction of cross-departmental alignment and delivering measurable outcomes under pressure.
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Start-up Grit & Ambiguity Management: You thrive in unstructured, high-velocity environments. You have a proven ability to shape chaos into process and define order where none exists.
- Leadership Maturity: Strong people-management capabilities (experience leading teams of 10+ is a plus). You know how to hire, coach, and mentor high-performing talent, and you possess the executive presence to present plans to leadership.
- Bias for Action: A relentless "Get Things Done" mindset. You are results-driven, comfortable challenging the status quo, and willing to put in the necessary effort to hit ambitious growth targets.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills, particularly in English. You can influence peers, negotiate with external suppliers, and provide clarity to C-level stakeholders regarding project health and strategic pivots.
