Help Build the Most Exciting Cake Programme in Artisan Bakery
At Galeta, product sits at the heart of everything we do.
We're one of the UK's fastest-growing artisan bakeries, supplying handmade bakes to some of the country's most respected cafés, hospitality groups and cultural institutions. Every day, our products are enjoyed in some of London's most iconic locations and shipped nationwide to customers who care deeply about quality.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an exceptional Head of Cakes to lead, inspire and shape the future of our cake department.
This isn't simply a production management role. It's an opportunity to build something special.
We're looking for someone who genuinely loves baking, gets excited about great food, and takes pride in seeing products they've created enjoyed by thousands of people every week. Someone who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and pushing standards higher every day.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to help us create the most innovative and exciting cake department in artisan bakery.
The Opportunity
You'll work closely with our Head of Product to develop scalable, commercially successful cakes that never compromise on quality, creativity or flavour.
From classic favourites to completely new concepts, you'll play a leading role in shaping what our customers see next.
You'll have the freedom to contribute ideas, challenge convention, develop new categories and help define the future direction of our cake range.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
