Head of Centre 56

About the Role

Annual salary of £28,224 (FTE £47,040) Permanent role Liverpool office base

Part-time (21 hours) and flexible working patterns available.


As Head of Centre 56, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for Centre 56, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, trauma-informed services for children and families affected by domestic abuse and crisis.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Overall strategic leadership, sustainability and growth of the charity
  • Delivery of the Centre 56 Business Plan and strategic objectives
  • Safeguarding, regulatory compliance and Ofsted readiness
  • Financial management and income generation
  • Building partnerships to increase reach, referrals and impact

This role ensures Centre 56 delivers its vision of a safe, nurturing and empowering environment, where children and families can thrive and build stable futures.

The Right Fit

You will need to demonstrate:

  • Significant leadership experience within Children’s services / Early Years / family support / charity sector
  • Experience in trauma-informed or safeguarding-focused environments
  • Strong financial management and budgeting controls
  • Demonstrable experience in income generation (fundraising, grants, fostering partnerships)
