Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and commercially astute Head of CEO Office to partner with our CEO in a hybrid (home-based with regular London/Newcastle travel) role.
This position ensures the CEO Office operates effectively, translating strategic priorities into actionable outcomes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will serve as a trusted advisor, delivering exceptional analysis, communication, and executive insight to drive high-quality decision-making.

Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong financial acumen, preferably in financial services.
- Ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable executive materials (e.g., Board packs, ALCO papers, business scorecards).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the CEO in delivering strategic, operational, and governance priorities across the bank.
- Manage and coordinate the effective operation of the CEO Office.
- Produce high-quality Board papers, ExCo materials, ALCO packs, and executive briefings.
- Translate complex financial, operational, and strategic data into concise, impactful insights.
- Support strategic planning, performance reviews, and executive decision-making.
- Develop and maintain business scorecards and performance reporting.
- Track strategic initiative delivery and ensure strong organisational follow-through.
- Coordinate Executive Committee activity and enhance governance effectiveness.
- Challenge and continuously improve the quality, clarity, and impact of executive materials.
- Build credible relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Assist the CEO in preparing for Board, investor, and regulatory engagements.

Requirements
- Relevant financial services experience (banking, lending, or regulated environments).
- Background in consulting, strategy, executive office, or business management.
- Proven ability to produce Board-level and executive materials.
- Strong financial data interpretation and influence over decision-making.
- Experience with ALCO packs, performance scorecards, or financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Exceptional written and presentation skills—ability to simplify complexity.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive presence.
- High organisational discipline, attention to detail, and delivery focus.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, senior executive environment.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related numerate discipline.
