Job Description
We are seeking a Head of COG Claims Data to lead the data strategy and delivery for the Chubb Overseas General (COG) Claims organization. This role is responsible for developing scalable data products, modern data pipelines, and AI-ready data assets that enable analytics, automation, and AI capabilities across global Claims operations.
Working in partnership with Claims Transformation, regional Claims organizations and other key stakeholders, this leader will define and deliver the data capabilities that accelerate Claims transformation while driving measurable business value through modern data products and AI solutions. The role will lead delivery through Agile product teams, establishing priorities, managing roadmaps and backlogs, and ensuring the rapid, iterative delivery of business value.
In This Role, You Will
- Develop and execute the COG Claims Data strategy aligned with Claims Transformation priorities and enterprise data strategy.
- Serve as the primary data leader supporting COG Claims and Claims transformation initiatives.
- Scale proven North America Claims data capabilities across COG by leveraging reusable data products, ingestion frameworks, and architectural patterns.
- Develop business-focused data products that enable operational insights, analytics, automation, and AI across the Claims value chain.
- Lead the development and expansion of scalable data pipelines supporting both structured and unstructured claims data.
- Scale and enhance a Claims ontology and semantic layer that connects structured and unstructured data into a unified business knowledge model, improving discoverability, interoperability, and AI readiness.
- Collaborate with regional Claims leaders and Claims Transformation teams to identify opportunities where data and AI can improve claim outcomes, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
- Establish standards for data quality, metadata, governance, lineage, and observability to ensure trusted enterprise data assets.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team that maximizes the capacity of Agile squads through strategic prioritization and reuse of enterprise capabilities.
- Lead the COG Claims data product portfolio using Agile delivery practices, defining roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, and maximizing business value delivered by agile squads.
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering and AI Leads, and business stakeholders to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure successful delivery across cross-functional teams.
- Foster a culture of agile delivery, continuous improvement, and outcome-based execution, enabling teams to deliver incremental business value while adapting to changing business priorities.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 12+ years of experience leading enterprise data, analytics, engineering, or technology organizations.
- Experience defining and delivering enterprise data strategies that enable business transformation.
- Experience developing modern data pipelines for both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience partnering with AI Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver AI-ready data and production AI solutions.
- Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders to define priorities and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading Agile product delivery teams, including product roadmap development, backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and cross-functional delivery.
- Experience managing multiple agile squads and balancing strategic initiatives with ongoing business demand.
Preferred Qualifications
- Property & Casualty insurance experience, particularly Claims.
- Experience implementing Generative AI and machine learning solutions in production.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Platform, Azure AI Search, Azure Data Lake Storage, and modern cloud architectures.
- Experience developing enterprise ontologies, semantic layers, or knowledge graph solutions.
- Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Search, or document intelligence solutions.
- Experience scaling enterprise data capabilities across multiple regions and global business organizations.
