Head of Commerce
Reporting to: Growth Director
Location: Head Office, White City Place, West London
Contract Type: 9 month Maternity Cover - Full time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven and strategic Head of Commerce to lead and deliver the trading and content strategy across ME+EM’s digital platforms.
This role is responsible for maximising global sales growth by driving customer engagement, conversion and productivity across all online touchpoints. Sitting at the intersection of trading, content, analytics and customer experience, you will translate insight into commercially impactful digital execution.
Responsibilities
Content & Creative Customer Engagement Strategy
- Own the website content strategy, ensuring creative consistency and brand aesthetic across all digital experiences
- Translate consumer insight and market trends into compelling, regionally relevant online journeys
- Partner with the Digital Platform team to build and execute a roadmap of initiatives that drive key KPIs
- Embed first-party data and A/B testing into all content and creative decisions to drive continuous optimisation
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to unlock and maximise commercial opportunities
- Leverage AI tools to drive operational efficiencies and enhance performance

Yield & Revenue Management
- Maximise online sales yield by optimising product visibility and performance across all digital touchpoints
- Develop and execute scalable on-site visual merchandising strategies tailored by market and customer segment
- Build and manage forecasting models aligned to merchandising budgets, identifying risks and opportunities
- Optimise delivery and payment propositions to improve conversion and customer experience
- Collaborate with Performance Marketing and CRM to drive efficiency across acquisition and retention
- Leverage SEO as a key traffic and revenue channel, connecting content, merchandising and growth strategies
- Lead localised trading strategies across international markets, including VM, content, photography and marketing channels
- Build reporting frameworks that clearly articulate product and marketing performance by market
Digital Analytics & Measurement
- Develop a best-in-class digital analytics programme in partnership with the analytics team
- Ensure the website data layer supports accurate tagging, tracking and reporting
- Deliver weekly trading updates combining qualitative and quantitative insights
- Democratise analytics through dashboards and visualisation tools to support decision-making across the business
- Use analytics to optimise product storytelling across PLP and PDP, driving engagement, conversion and AOV
- Lead and embed a robust A/B testing programme across digital trade and content
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, with clear development plans and progression pathways
- Structure the team to balance operational excellence with strategic trading focus
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

Skills
- Proven experience leading digital trading, eCommerce or content functions within a premium or high-growth brand
- Strong commercial mindset with a deep understanding of digital KPIs and customer behaviour
- Highly data-driven, with experience using analytics to inform strategy and decision-making
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment
- Passionate about delivering best-in-class digital customer experiences
