Purpose of the Role
Insurance is the largest and most established vertical within MSM, with strong brand recognition and a complex, high-value partner ecosystem. It plays a critical role in driving overall business performance and future growth.
As the market evolves with regulatory change, increasing competition, and shifting consumer behaviour, this is a pivotal time to shape how we trade, partner, and grow. The Motor channel sits at the heart of this, offering significant opportunities to drive both immediate performance and long-term strategic value.
This is a high-impact leadership role with:
- End-to-end ownership of commercial performance across the Motor channel
- A focus on integrating trading and partnerships to drive revenue, improve partner performance, and strengthen MSM’s market position
- Responsibilities spanning strategy, execution, and leadership, with accountability for sustainable growth in a regulated environment
- Strategic alignment and influence within the Insurance leadership team, shaping priorities and driving delivery
What You Will Be Doing
As Head of Commercial – Motor Insurance, you’ll own the performance, strategy, and future of the Motor channel, driving commercial outcomes while building a high-performing, scalable team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
