Key Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity to build and shape Commercial Excellence across Western Europe from the ground up. As a hands-on leader, you will define frameworks, drive execution, and work closely with local markets to unlock business performance and ensure consistent commercial impact across the region.

  • Establish and lead the Commercial Excellence discipline across Western Europe, setting up the function from inception
  • Define and implement frameworks, standards, and ways of working across multiple markets
  • Partner closely with country teams to drive execution and measurable business performance improvements
  • Assess current commercial capabilities and identify opportunities for optimization and growth
  • Lead key initiatives including Salesforce effectiveness, customer targeting and segmentation, marketing effectiveness, and pricing optimization
  • Establish KPIs (analytics and insights) to drive commercial excellence
  • Build strong business cases, prioritize initiatives, and ensure end-to-end delivery and impact realization
  • Drive adoption and consistency of commercial practices across countries through collaboration and influence
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, including General Managers, to elevate commercial performance

Profile / Requirements

Must-have:

  • Extensive experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Effectiveness, or similar commercial roles
  • Proven track record of building or transforming functions in a regional or multi-market environment
  • Strong execution mindset with the ability to move from strategy to implementation
  • Experience working closely with local markets and driving results through influence rather than direct authority
  • Data-driven decision-making skills combined with strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build business cases, and deliver measurable results
  • Strong stakeholder management and networking capabilities across multiple countries
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with high energy and ownership

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Exposure to Western European markets
  • Expertise in CRM/Salesforce optimization and implementation
  • Experience in pricing, segmentation, or marketing effectiveness initiatives
