Head of Commercial Finance - Hertfordshire
JSS are delighted to be partnering with our client who are based in Hertfordshire on the recruitment of a fantastic new Head of Commercial Finance role.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Head of Commercial Finance will support the Finance Director and the wider Leadership Team in all aspects of the commercial financial management of the UK & Ireland business. The role will be responsible across the whole business but will have a focus on several specific key areas of the business that deliver the highest revenue and gross margin.
The Role:
The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Finance Director UK & Ireland to ensure that his strategic direction for the business is being implemented and driven across the business.
- Lead, inspire and develop a team of Finance professionals who are based at head office and several sites across the UK.
- Take the financial and commercial lead in the running and managing several key areas of the business.
- Create innovative financial strategies, in accordance with the Finance Director, which drive improved business efficiencies across the business.
- Be responsible for regularly interfacing and developing key relationships within key suppliers and clients.
- Responsible for strategic planning, the creation of annual operating plans and business performance reviews.
- Provide and effectively communicate critical financial information to members of both the Leadership team. This will include regular budgeting and forecasting data and analysis as well as higher level strategic information and recommendations.
- Deputise and stand in for Finance Director at meetings and events as required.
- Work closely with the Financial Control team to ensure that all statutory and regulatory controls and processes are understood and complied with.
- Development of systems and procedures to strengthen financial control and operational efficiencies across the whole of UK business.

Profile:

- ACA, CIMA, ACCA qualified.
- Several years experience in senior Commercial Manager roles.
- Essential: Multi-site Retail, FMCG or Supply Chain/Distribution, Manufacturing experience.
On Offer:
- Salary circa £100-110k plus £7k car allowance, bonus and hybrid working.
