Head of Commercial Finance – Hertfordshire
JSS are delighted to be partnering with our Hertfordshire-based client on the recruitment of a fantastic new Head of Commercial Finance role.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Head of Commercial Finance will support the Finance Director and the wider Leadership Team in all aspects of the commercial financial management of the UK & Ireland business. The role will be responsible across the whole business but will have a focus on several key areas of the business that deliver the highest revenue and gross margin.
The Role
The Head of Commercial Finance will be responsible for:

Leadership & Development
- Work closely with the Finance Director UK & Ireland to ensure strategic direction is implemented and driven across the business.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Finance professionals based at head office and several sites across the UK.

Strategic & Commercial Finance
- Take financial and commercial lead in the running and managing several key business areas.
- Create innovative financial strategies, in accordance with the Finance Director, to drive improved business efficiencies.
- Drive strategic planning, creation of annual operating plans, and business performance reviews.

Stakeholder & Client Communication
- Regularly interface and develop key relationships with suppliers and clients.
- Provide and effectively communicate critical financial information to Leadership Team members, including:
- Regular budgeting and forecasting data
- Strategic financial analysis and recommendations
- Deputise for the Finance Director at meetings and events as required.

Regulatory & Financial Control
- Work closely with the Financial Control team to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory controls.
- Develop systems and procedures to strengthen financial control and operational efficiencies across the UK business.
Profile
- Qualifications: Must be ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified.
- Experience:
- Several years of experience in senior Commercial Finance or Finance Management roles.
- Essential: Multi-site Retail, FMCG, or experience in Supply Chain/Distribution or Manufacturing.
On Offer
- Salary: Circa £100-110k
- Hybrid working
- £7k car allowance, plus bonus.
