Role – Head of Commercial
Package
£80–90k + bonus + share options

Hybrid | 2 days in London
The brand has already built strong traction across UK grocery and wholesale channels with its range of all-natural, clean eating products. Listings are in place. Momentum is building. Now the focus shifts to acceleration, sharper execution, and smarter retail growth.
About the Role
This is a role with real weight. You will:
- Work directly with the founders
- Sit close to decision-making
- Help shape how the business grows commercially—not from the sidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Balance strategy with execution daily, spanning:
- Reviewing performance across Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose (or other key accounts)
- Digging into rate of sale and promotional effectiveness
- Collaborating on forecasting, pricing strategy, retail activation
- Own key retailer relationships, developing joint business plans for better visibility, activation, and commercial returns
- Support field sales activity and shape in-store execution
- Build retailer-facing materials for campaigns
- Address inefficiencies early and resolve them quickly
- Lead European expansion planning over 12–18 months, engaging with wholesalers and distributors

Specific deliveries include:
- Managing national groceries/retail/OOH accounts
- Driving rate of sale via activation, visibility, in-store execution
- Developing joint business plans with retail/wholesale partners
- Owning forecasting, pricing discussions, and commercial planning alongside the founders
- Supporting field sales activity and retail activation
- Creating retailer-facing launch materials
- Identifying and securing new retail/wholesale/partnership opportunities
- Facilitating European expansion via wholesaler relationships

Requirements

Proven experience managing major UK grocery accounts in a:
- Startup
- Scaleup
- FMCG Challenger Brand context

Deep understanding of retailer dynamics, rate-of-sale drivers, forecasting, commercial planning

Equal comfort:
- In boardroom conversations with founders
- During retail performance reviews on the ground

Mentality: Challenger brand mindset, ability to thrive in a small team and fast-paced, chaotic environment
