Role Description

The Head of Commercial – Market Research is a full-time remote role responsible for leading all commercial activities related to Source Pivot’s expert network and custom fieldwork offerings. This role oversees business development, client relationship management, and revenue growth across consulting and market research accounts.

  • Identifying and pursuing new commercial opportunities
  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies
  • Shaping pricing and service packages in collaboration with internal teams

The Head of Commercial will work closely with operations and project delivery to ensure proposals are feasible, projects are scoped effectively, and client expectations are met or exceeded. The role also involves:

  • Mentoring a commercial team
  • Monitoring performance metrics
  • Continuously refining commercial processes to support sustainable growth

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in commercial leadership, business development, or sales within market research, consulting, or expert networks.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, including account growth, negotiation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Background in market research or related fields, with the ability to understand research methodologies and custom fieldwork requirements.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills for designing go-to-market plans, pricing strategies, and performance tracking.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a remote or distributed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting, with strong ownership, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international markets and cross-border commercial operations is beneficial.
  • Prior experience working fully remotely or with global teams is a plus.
