Head of Commercial Marketing
Make an Impact: Head of Commercial Marketing
This is a rare opportunity to shape how marketing drives growth at scale. As Head of Commercial Marketing, you’ll play a central role in building a more insight-led, commercially focused marketing function—strengthening how products and services are positioned, taken to market, and delivered across multiple audiences and markets.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will lead the development of a clear, joined-up commercial marketing approach across the organisation. Working closely with Product and Sales, you’ll ensure marketing activity is aligned to growth priorities, delivering measurable impact.
Key Areas Include
- Defining and delivering an integrated commercial marketing strategy aligned to growth goals
- Leading product marketing, including positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market planning
- Strengthening demand generation through structured, data-led campaign planning
- Using customer and market insight to improve targeting, messaging, and performance
- Improving marketing effectiveness and demonstrating impact on growth and engagement
- Aligning marketing with commercial priorities and enterprise opportunities
- Establishing clear marketing standards, processes, and ways of working
- Leading and developing a team of product marketing professionals

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a senior marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
You’ll Bring
- Experience in senior B2B marketing roles (e.g. Head of Marketing, Head of Growth, Head of Product Marketing)
- Strong product marketing and go-to-market expertise across complex products or services
- Proven ability to drive demand generation and improve marketing effectiveness
- Experience using customer insight and data to inform strategy and campaigns
- A commercial mindset, with evidence of aligning marketing to revenue and growth outcomes
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product and Sales teams
- Leadership experience, including developing teams and improving capability
Experience in sectors such as professional services, SaaS, education, consulting, or standards-based environments would be beneficial, but not essential.
Location and Working Pattern
This role is based at the BRE Science Park in Watford, with an expectation to work on-site approximately one day per week (flexi-hybrid).
