The Role: Head of Commercial Operations

This critical leadership position is responsible for strengthening commercial execution by aligning customer demand, contract governance, delivery performance, revenue recognition, and financial control.

Key Accountabilities

As Head of Commercial Operations, you will be the go-to leader for ensuring:

  • Customer commitments/expectations are clear, measured, and held accountable across the organisation.
  • Performance against targets is tracked rigorously, and action plans are implemented promptly.
  • Commercial and contractual risks are proactively identified and managed.
  • Large-scale projects are executed with disciplined visibility.
  • Financial outcomes remain predictable and controlled.

You will collaborate strategically with Operations & Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and PMO to standardise commercial frameworks, benchmark performance, and enforce consistent processes, KPIs, and governance.

Responsibilities

1. Cross-Functional Integration

  • Align Commercial expectations with Operations & Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and PMO to ensure seamless execution from sales to delivery.
  • Embed customer requirements into Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and demand forecasting processes.
  • Ensure forecasting assumptions align with supply and delivery commitments.
  • Surface and escalate risks (delay risks, supply gaps, constraints) early in the order lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
