Head Of Commercial Ops
i-Scaff Access Solutions Ltd
Location: Glenrothes, Fife (Hybrid working considered)
Help Shape the Future of a Growing Specialist Access Contractor
At i-Scaff, we don't just build scaffolding—we engineer access solutions that enable some of the UK's most complex industrial, energy, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Operating across industrial facilities, distilleries, power generation, petrochemical, offshore, and renewable energy sectors, our reputation has been built on technical excellence, trusted relationships, and delivering safely every time.
As we continue to grow throughout the UK and Europe, we're looking for an ambitious Commercial Manager to become a key member of our senior leadership team. This is an opportunity to influence business strategy, shape commercial performance, and help drive the next phase of our company's growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead the commercial function across the business, ensuring every project is commercially successful from tender enquiry through to final account. You'll work closely with our operations, design, and estimating teams to maximise value, minimise commercial risk, and continually improve the way we deliver projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have genuine influence over business decisions rather than simply reporting on them.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership
- Lead the commercial performance of multiple projects across the UK & Europe.
- Develop and implement commercial strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Provide commercial guidance to the Directors and senior management team.
- Protect margins while maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Drive a culture of commercial awareness throughout the business.
Contract Management
- Manage the commercial lifecycle of projects from tender through to final account.
- Review, negotiate, and administer client contracts.
- Manage NEC, JCT, and bespoke contract forms.
- Lead contractual change management, compensation events, and variations.
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risk.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
