Head of Commercial Property
Head of Commercial Property – 10+ PQE, Wiltshire

A well-regarded and forward-thinking law firm in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Property to lead its established and growing department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior commercial property lawyer looking to take on a strategic leadership role with a clear pathway to Partnership.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the commercial property team, managing a high-quality caseload including acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant matters, and development work
- Driving the department’s continued growth and success with significant autonomy
- Shaping the future direction of the team and contributing to the firm’s wider business strategy

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing commercial property team
- Oversee and deliver key transactions, including property acquisitions and disposals
- Manage complex landlord and tenant matters, ensuring client satisfaction and risk mitigation
- Lead development projects and contribute to strategic business decisions
- Drive increased business development and client retention
- Provide mentorship and career progression within the team
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture in the department

Requirements
We are looking for experienced Commercial Property Solicitors:
- Minimum 10+ years’ PQE in commercial property law
- Strong technical expertise with a track record in landlord and tenant, acquisitions, and development work
- Demonstrated leadership skills (management experience is advantageous)
- A commercial mindset for client relationship management and business development
- Ability to drive growth and shape departmental strategy
While an established referrer network is helpful, it is not essential.
