Position: Head of Communications | Location: London (Hybrid, 2 Days in Office)

About the Role

As our Head of Communications, you’ll lead GWI’s public relations, corporate communications, and social media strategy. Reporting directly to the CMO, this strategic yet hands-on role involves shaping narratives that align with media, customers, partners, and investors—while elevating GWI’s brand voice in a competitive market.

You’ll drive thought leadership, ensure messaging consistency across functions, and play a central role in crafting a compelling narrative as GWI scales globally. Reporting to executives, you’ll collaborate closely with leadership to position GWI as a market leader in AI and customer insights.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy spanning PR, media engagement, executive comms, and social media.
  • Align comms strategy with company goals, product launches, and market milestones.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and media landscape shifts to keep GWI relevant and visible.
  • Lead U.S. market expansion efforts, establishing thought leadership, brand positioning, and media-driven awareness.

Media Relations & Thought Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, shaping executive visibility and thought leadership.
  • Build high-level relationships with news, business, tech, trade, and broadcast media.
  • Proactively pitch stories, secure earned media placements, and position GWI as an authority in AI and customer intelligence.
  • Develop executive thought leadership programs, craft media-ready messaging, and secure speaking opportunities with top-tier platforms.

Executive Visibility, IR & Crisis Management

  • Advise executives on public positioning, media engagement, and narrative development.
  • Prepare spokespeople for interviews, panels, and keynotes with structured coaching.
  • Support the CEO and CFO in shaping investor and financial narratives for fundraising, board communications, and high-stakes announcements.
  • Oversee crisis communications planning—ensuring clarity, confidence, and control during challenging moments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
