Job Title: Head of Communications – Wealth Management (Global)

Who we’re looking for We are looking for a senior communications professional with extensive experience in internal communications, organisational storytelling and employee engagement, ideally within financial services or a similar regulated environment.
This role will sit within the Schroders Wealth Management in‑house marketing and communications team reporting to the Global Head of Marketing & Communications. The role will act as the senior communications lead for the wealth management business, working closely with the Wealth Management CEO and leadership team.
You will own and lead the development and execution of the global communications strategy, covering both internal and external audiences. This includes shaping the internal narrative for colleagues globally, while also setting and overseeing external PR and reputational management through a luxury PR agency.
The purpose of this role is to translate Wealth Management business priorities, strategy and culture into a clear, joined‑up communications approach for both internal and external audiences. The role will develop and deliver compelling communications that engage colleagues globally, reinforce a strong internal narrative, and ensure our external profile, positioning and media engagement are aligned with our brand and reputation ambitions. This will span all areas of the business, including investment, wealth planning, charity, sustainability and private assets, ensuring clarity, consistency and credibility across regions.

The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.
What you’ll do
Internal Communications (Primary Focus)
- Create, own and implement the global internal communications strategy.
- Lead internal campaigns and messaging linked to strategy, performance, culture and transformation.
- Collaborate with our internal copy writers, marketing and events teams to support delivery of high-quality communications across channels.
- Produce content across all internal channels with clear audience segmentation and prioritisation.
- Create and manage a weekly global internal newsletter from the Wealth Management CEO.
- Lead twice‑weekly morning meetings with front‑office teams to ensure alignment, clarity and engagement.
- Work with the wealth transformation manager to shape and deliver change communications for Wealth Management’s change communications programme.
- Work with the Head of Marketing in the Channel Islands, Switzerland and Singapore offices to set the internal communications framework and provide guidance and support, ensuring consistency with local nuance.
- Work with wider Schroders Group on internal comms alignment.
External PR (Secondary Focus)

Own the external communications and PR strategy for Wealth Management, aligned to the brand and reputation objectives

Manage our luxury PR agency, setting clear direction, priorities and measures of success

Oversee PR outputs, media positioning and reputation management

Manage media enquiries and interactions, including reactive and issues-led communications

Ensure external communications reinforce internal narratives and strategic priorities

Collaboration & Leadership

Act as the senior communications lead for Wealth Management, partnering closely with the CEO, ExCo, HR, Marketing and regional leadership teams.

Provide strategic communications counsel to senior stakeholders, anticipating reputational risk and opportunity.

Team player, working with senior leaders, HR and regional teams to prioritise, align and deliver communications effectively across markets.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

Significant senior‑level communications experience, with deep expertise in internal communications.

Strong FS / wealth management understanding or experience operating in a similarly regulated environment.

Experience translating complex strategy into clear, compelling communications.

PR agency management and media engagement experience ideal.
