Head of Construction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Construction at Stephenson College, part of Loughborough College Group.

About the Role

The Head of Construction role is responsible for education and training for Education Programmes for Young People, full-time study programme provision (16-19) in a range of construction and building services curriculum areas, including but not limited to; Professional Construction, Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Multi-trade, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to make a significant contribution to the college's aim to provide outstanding quality and responsiveness in teaching, learning and curriculum design and delivery.

  • Deliver high quality, challenging and inspiring learning experiences
  • Lead and devise appropriate assessments
  • Develop plans to secure a curriculum portfolio that is responsive to local needs, college priorities and targets, and national priorities

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with highly developed interpersonal skills, strong communication and teamwork skills as well as the ability to motivate and inspire others. You will need to be proactive and adaptable to an ever-changing FE Landscape and have a proven track record of line management and programme management.
