Head of Construction
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Construction at Stephenson College, part of Loughborough College Group.
About the Role
The Head of Construction role is responsible for education and training for Education Programmes for Young People, full-time study programme provision (16-19) in a range of construction and building services curriculum areas, including but not limited to:
- Professional Construction
- Brickwork
- Carpentry and Joinery
- Multi-trade
- Painting and Decorating
- Plumbing and Heating
Key Responsibilities
- Make a significant contribution to the college's aim to provide outstanding quality and responsiveness in teaching, learning, and curriculum design and delivery.
- Deliver high-quality, challenging, and inspiring learning experiences.
- Lead and devise appropriate assessments.
- Develop plans to secure a curriculum portfolio that is responsive to local needs, college priorities and targets, and national priorities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Proactive and adaptable to an ever-changing FE Landscape.
- Proven track record of line management and programme management.
- Strong analytic skills, digital skills, and knowledge of FE data reporting systems.
