Head of Content — Social & Digital

Location: London
Working Model: Hybrid
Salary: £100,000 – £120,000

We are looking for a senior Head of Content to take full ownership of social content strategy for a fast-growing digital publisher with an ambitious growth agenda across the UK and US. This role sits at the intersection of editorial thinking, creative direction, and performance-led social strategy.

The Role

Content Strategy and Creative Direction

  • Set the editorial vision, shape distinctive formats and recurring series, and ensure every piece of content serves a clear purpose within the wider growth agenda
  • Own the end-to-end social content strategy across video, written, and audio formats
  • Develop original formats and recurring series that build consistent audience habits over time
  • Shape a clear editorial voice and visual identity that distinguishes the brand across every platform
  • Translate expertise and point of view into content that is platform-native and genuinely compelling
  • Stay close to trends and platform behaviour, making smart decisions quickly

Audience Growth

  • Design channel-specific strategies, lead experimentation, and use performance data to adapt quickly
  • Build and execute audience growth strategies across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Lead structured content experimentation across formats, hooks, and narrative structures
  • Analyse performance data and translate findings into clear changes to strategy
  • Use paid amplification strategically alongside organic content
  • Identify emerging platforms early and make considered decisions about where to invest

Podcast Strategy

  • Own the podcast roadmap from concept and format development through to distribution and performance
  • Shape episode themes, guest strategy, and narrative structures to build authority and audience
  • Ensure every episode generates a full suite of short-form social content
  • Integrate podcast performance into the wider content strategy continuously

Content Production and Delivery

  • Build and manage a lean, high-output content operation with clear workflows and schedules
  • Plan filming days, recording schedules, and publishing calendars across all formats
  • Brief, direct, and manage editors, videographers, producers, and freelancers
  • Maintain quality control from concept through to final publish

What We Are Looking For

  • A senior content leader with strong creative instinct and a track record of building engaged audiences at scale
  • Deep knowledge of platform behaviour across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Experience leading the full content lifecycle from strategy and creative direction through to production and performance
  • Proven podcast experience as part of a broader content and distribution strategy
  • Highly organised, capable of managing multiple workstreams while maintaining creative standards
  • Comfortable working closely with senior leadership, shaping ideas as well as executing them
