A leading remote first practice is looking for an ambitious Head of Conveyancing.
Are you looking to lead a specialist conveyancing team and shape the future of a growing national business?
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an established conveyancing department within a forward-thinking specialist property law firm that is investing heavily in its future growth. The firm have ambitious expansion plans, you'll have genuine autonomy to influence the direction of the department while remaining involved in high-quality, complex property work.
Whether you're already leading a team or you're an experienced senior conveyancer ready to step into your first Head of Department position, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.
The Opportunity
As Head of Conveyancing, you'll lead a close-knit residential property team. You'll be responsible for developing the department, mentoring colleagues, reviewing existing processes and implementing improvements that enhance both client service and operational efficiency. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll retain a manageable caseload of complex matters, ensuring you remain technically involved while helping drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a specialist residential conveyancing team
- Manage a small caseload of complex residential property matters
- Review and improve departmental systems and processes
- Deliver training and ongoing technical support to colleagues
- Monitor performance and provide management information to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and best practice
- Play a key role in the continued growth and development of the conveyancing function
About You
- A Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer
- Experienced in residential conveyancing with strong technical knowledge
- A confident leader, supervisor or senior fee earner looking to progress into a leadership role
- Commercially minded with a passion for developing people and improving processes
- Someone who enjoys taking ownership and driving positive change
