We are working with a well-established national law firm seeking an experienced Head of Conveyancing to lead its growing property team. This is a predominantly management-focused role, overseeing a team of around 10 employees and 30 consultant solicitors, with a small personal caseload. The department handles a mix of residential and commercial conveyancing matters, with a stronger focus on residential. The role can be based from any of the firm's UK offices, with hybrid working available.
Typical duties for the role will include:
- Leading, managing, and developing a national conveyancing team across multiple office locations.
- Supervising and supporting a team of employed staff and consultant solicitors.
- Travelling approximately once per week to other office locations to meet with teams and maintain strong working relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and best practice standards.
- Driving business development initiatives to grow the department and strengthen existing client relationships.
- Mentoring and supporting fee earners to maximise performance and career development.
- Maintaining a small caseload of residential and commercial property matters where appropriate.
- Working closely with senior leadership to deliver the firm's strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Solicitor of England & Wales with 8+ years PQE.
- Significant experience throughout the whole conveyancing process.
- Proven management experience leading and developing successful conveyancing teams.
- Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and regulatory obligations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A commercial mindset with a passion for business development and team growth.
- Willingness to travel to other UK offices approximately once per week.
