Head of Core Brands – International

Inhaled Anaesthesia & Injectable Pain | International Commercial Strategy

Location: London, UK Travel: Regular international travel required

Shape the future of our established international portfolio

We seek an exceptional commercial leader to oversee our client’s International Core Brands portfolio across inhaled anaesthesia and injectable pain. This is a high-impact leadership role, defining and executing commercial strategy across Europe, MEA, LATAM, APAC, India, and China, reporting directly to the Head of International Commercial.

About the Role

As Head of Core Brands – International, you’ll develop and lead a multi-year commercial strategy, driving sustainable growth, profits, and long-term portfolio value across global markets. You’ll work within a matrixed international organisation, partnering with regional leaders, medical, regulatory, finance, supply chain, and business development teams to deliver performance, finance, and supply chain teams to strategic priorities and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the international commercial strategy for inhaled anaesthesia and injectable pain.
  • Identify growth, margin, and value opportunities across global markets.
  • Lead portfolio optimization and lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Define international pricing principles, tender strategy, and commercial policy.
  • Build compelling value propositions and competitive positioning.
  • Prioritize markets and investments to maximize commercial return.
  • Support country teams with commercial tools, strategic direction, and execution frameworks.
  • Establish portfolio governance, performance reviews, and commercial insight processes.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across functions and geographies to deliver shared objectives.

About You

You must have:

  • Significant leadership experience in hospital pharmaceuticals, anaesthesia, pain management, critical care, or injectable medicines.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-country portfolio strategy with measurable commercial impact.
  • Strong understanding of hospital procurement, pricing, tenders, and mature product management.
  • Experience in lifecycle strategies enhancing growth, margins, and portfolio value.
  • Strong analytical and judgement skills.
  • Ability to influence across international matrix organizations without direct authority.
  • Fluent business English (a European language is advantageous).
