Head of Creative Operations
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: £70-75,000
Hybrid: Once a week/quarterly/remote
Permanent: Full time
Our client, a highly innovative and growing Education Technology business, is seeking a commercially minded Head of Creative Operations to spearhead their Brand & Content function.
In this senior, hands-on leadership role, you will bridge the gap between creative strategy, project management, and digital execution. Managing a talented four-person team of designers and copywriters, alongside external agency partners, you will oversee the delivery of high-performing assets across the entire marketing funnel. From thought leadership and brand development to high-converting digital campaigns, you will ensure all output is high-quality, audience-focused, and aligned with our commercial objectives.
The Role:
- Maintain and develop the company’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and visual standards across all platforms.
- Act as the final sign-off for main marketing campaigns, launches, and daily content.
- Oversee relationships with freelancers and agencies to ensure work meets company standards.
- Oversee and review written content for websites, emails, landing pages, social media, and paid ads.
- Turn complex ideas into clear, engaging, and customer-focused copy for product launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Help produce digital ads, graphics, and social media assets when needed.
- Oversee the creative process from the initial brief and prioritisation through to final delivery.
- Manage daily workloads, deadlines, and project timelines across different marketing teams.
- Deliver creative materials for webinars, partner events, and conferences.
- Support the planning of search-engine-friendly web content that appeals to the target audience.
- Help create or oversee video and motion graphics for digital campaigns and social media.
- Find ways to use new media formats to boost customer engagement.

About you:
Essential:
- At least 5 years of experience leading a creative, brand, or content team in a fast-paced business environment.
- A proven track record of managing writers, designers, and freelancers to deliver high-quality work on time.
- Strong, hands-on design skills with experience using tools like Adobe, Canva, or Figma.
- Excellent copywriting skills, with a focus on creating web, email, social media, and ad content that drives results.
- Experience organising creative projects, managing daily workloads, and keeping files organised.
- A solid understanding of channels like websites, email, paid and organic social media, and SEO.
- You'll ideally have had exposure agency side but also building an in-house team/s

Desirable:
- Experience making or managing video and moving graphics.
- Experience working in business-to-business (B2B) software or educational technology companies.
Qualifications:
- A degree in marketing, design, communications, or a related subject (or equivalent workplace experience).
- A portfolio showcasing your creative work, writing, and design layout.
- Familiarity with project tracking tools like Asana, Monday.com, or Notion.
For the top end of the salary available, you will be a highly experienced creative leader with a proven track record of developing complex, brand-led digital campaigns and content strategies within fast-paced commercial environments.
