Role Overview:
As the Head of Creative Solutions, you will be responsible for leading and evolving the Creative Solutions team, establishing a high-performing function that delivers world-class creative outputs aligned with Formula 1’s commercial ambitions and production standards. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership across creative and commercial disciplines, create a unified team culture, embed best-practice ways of working, and ensure creative delivery is both operationally efficient and commercially impactful. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of the department, developing the team structure, processes, and capabilities required to support continued growth. Working closely with Commercial leadership and key stakeholders across the business, you will foster strong collaboration between creative and commercial teams, ensuring priorities are aligned and projects deliver maximum value for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate and experienced leader with a proven track record of building high-performing creative teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional work in fast-paced, high-performance environments. You will be equally comfortable setting strategic direction, leading organisational change, and maintaining a relentless focus on delivery quality and execution.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, inspire and unify the Creative Solutions team, creating a clear vision, identity and shared purpose.
- Build and maintain a high-performance culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, creativity and continuous improvement.
- Develop a department which supports current business priorities and future growth ambitions.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members, identifying development opportunities and building succession pathways.
- Foster a culture of engagement, empowerment and ownership across the department.
Operational Excellence & Ways of Working
- Collaborate with the team to establish and embed scalable processes that improve efficiency, quality and consistency across all creative outputs.
- Drive continuous improvement in team workflows, ensuring clear accountability and effective project delivery.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of creative spectacle projects, ensuring operational rigour and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with the team to refresh existing and implement new governance frameworks, delivery tools and prioritisation processes to provide visibility and control across the project portfolio.
- Ensure all outputs consistently meet Formula 1’s production and quality standards.
Creative & Commercial Collaboration
- Create strong partnerships between creative and commercial teams, ensuring clear alignment of objectives and priorities.
- Work closely with Commercial leadership to ensure creative solutions effectively support commercial opportunities and client requirements.
- Align creative strategy and execution with wider business goals and commercial objectives.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration and remove barriers that hinder effective teamwork.
- Promote a solutions-focused approach that balances creative excellence with commercial impact.

Delivery & Performance Management
- Take ownership of delivery quality, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
- Monitor team performance and output, using data, insights and feedback to drive continual improvement.
- Manage resource allocation across internal teams and external freelancers or consultants to maximise efficiency and capability.
- Ensure consistent excellence across all productions, projects and creative deliverables.
- Identify risks, dependencies and opportunities, implementing proactive solutions where required.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key interface between senior leadership, commercial stakeholders and creative teams.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to support alignment, trust and successful project delivery.
- Communicate priorities, performance metrics, risks and opportunities clearly and effectively.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

- Significant leadership experience within a creative, production, content or similar environment.

- Experience leading cross-functional teams and building strong collaboration between multiple business functions.
- Successfully delivered high-quality creative outputs within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders.
- Experience implementing scalable processes, governance frameworks and delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing team performance, resource planning and operational priorities.
Some desirable experience that you may bring to the role:
- Experience within sports, media, broadcast or other high-performance creative environments.
- Experience managing a combination of internal teams and external freelance or consultant resources.
- Understanding of commercial production, brand partnerships or client-led creative delivery models.
- Experience leading large-scale change initiatives or business transformation programmes.
Qualifications
- Not essential, but you may also have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Creative Media, Production Management or a related discipline.
- Leadership or management qualifications.
- Project management or operational excellence certifications.
