The Role
This role leads the cyber claims function across Howden’s international offices (outside the UK and US), supporting Howden’s global cyber team. It is accountable for developing and implementing cyber claims strategy, best practice and capability across those offices, ensuring a consistent and effective approach to service delivery, incident response and client support.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of international cyber claims strategy across jurisdictions outside the UK and US
- Act as the claims lead on major cyber incidents and cyber / technology insurance claims where required, acting as a referral point to support and supplement local expertise
- Establish and embed best practice approaches to cyber claims handling, both initial response and coverage, across global offices
- Build and oversee local cyber claims capability in key international markets to ensure consistency of service provision and standards, including supporting recruitment and development
- Provide technical guidance and act as a referral point to support and enhance local expertise, including delivering education and training to clients and colleagues
- Support colleagues on business tenders and represent the cyber claims function at industry events, presenting on technical and market topics internationally
- Respond to technical and claims-related queries from clients, markets and internal stakeholders
- Lead cyber claims data initiatives, working closely with data and analytics teams to improve insight and outcomes
- Contribute as a senior member of the global cyber team, supporting wider strategic and operating plans
- Collaborate with wordings specialists and UK and US cyber claims leads to ensure a coordinated global approach

Who we're looking for
- Significant experience in cyber insurance claims, financial lines insurance claims, or cyber incident response within an international environment
- Proven experience developing and implementing claims strategy or best practice frameworks
- Experience supporting or overseeing cyber insurance claims, incident response or crisis management activity
- Demonstrated experience advising clients and internal stakeholders on complex insurance coverage and claims issues
- Experience working with global teams and navigating differing regulatory or market environments
- Track record of contributing to business development activity, including tenders and client presentations
- Experience working with data initiatives or using claims data to drive decision-making and improvement
- Experience collaborating with underwriting, wordings or specialist teams to deliver joined-up solutions
