Head of Data
Berkshire

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing data function and shape the future of data strategy within a well-established organisation. You will work closely with senior leadership to drive data-led decision-making, build capability across the business, and deliver meaningful commercial impact.

The Role
You will:

- Define and deliver the organisation's data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and develop a high-performing data team across analytics, engineering, and business intelligence functions.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities to drive value through data.
- Establish best practices for data management, quality, governance, and reporting.
- Oversee the development of scalable data platforms and reporting solutions.
- Champion a data-driven culture across the organisation.
- Provide leadership on data architecture, tooling, and future capability development.
- Measure and communicate the impact of data initiatives to executive stakeholders.
Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience leading data teams and data functions.
- Proven ability to develop and execute data strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Experience working across data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or data management disciplines.
- Ability and interest in still being hands on working with data tools such as SQL
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Knowledge of modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and data governance frameworks.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on decision-making when required.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of driving organisational change through data.
