Head of Data & AI Platforms

£100,000–£110,000 + Bonus + Benefits

UK | Remote / Hybrid

ShareForce is partnering with a fast-growing, nationwide wealth management business to appoint a Head of Data & AI Platforms. Managing more than £8.7bn in assets and employing over 180 people, the organisation is making a significant investment in AI, technology and its data estate as it enters its next phase of growth. Reporting to the CITO / Transformation Director and working within a specialist AI Pod, you will own the architecture, engineering and governance of the data and platform capabilities underpinning its production AI solutions.

This is a senior and highly influential position combining strategic leadership with hands-on technical delivery. You will establish the secure, scalable and trusted foundations required for Azure AI Foundry agents to operate within live, FCA-regulated adviser journeys. This is not a traditional reporting or business intelligence role. It is an opportunity to build the data and AI platform capability behind a major transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the enterprise strategy and target architecture for data and AI platforms.
  • Design end-to-end solutions across Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure AI Foundry, Dataverse and third-party systems.
  • Establish scalable platform patterns for AI agents, RAG, embeddings and intelligent automation.
  • Build and optimise cloud-native pipelines that provide trusted, production-ready data to AI applications.
  • Develop transformation, cleansing and enrichment processes for structured and unstructured information.
  • Implement data quality frameworks covering validation, monitoring, exception management and automated remediation.
  • Design transcript and AI data pipelines supporting adviser workflows and automation.
  • Lead data quality assurance across CRM migrations and wider transformation programmes.
  • Establish governance covering lineage, ownership, classification, access control, retention and auditability.
  • Ensure data and AI platforms meet FCA expectations, UK GDPR requirements and internal security standards.
  • Produce architecture documentation, data models and governance artefacts suitable for executive and regulatory audiences.
  • Partner with AI, engineering, IT, Transformation and business teams to define platform priorities and delivery roadmaps.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and advise leadership on platform investment, architecture and risk.
  • Act as the organisation’s senior authority for data and AI platform design.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
