Head of Data Analytics

Full Time
Hybrid Working (3 days per week in the office)

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially focused Head of Data Analytics to lead the development of our analytics capability and help shape business decisions through high-quality insight. This role will be responsible for transforming complex data into meaningful recommendations that improve customer engagement, commercial performance, and operational effectiveness.

Working across multiple business functions, you will establish a strong analytical framework, oversee digital measurement, and ensure stakeholders have access to timely, reliable, and actionable intelligence. You'll combine strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to analytics, helping the business identify opportunities, solve challenges, and continuously improve performance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics & Insight

  • Lead the delivery of analytical insights that support commercial growth and enhance customer outcomes
  • Develop meaningful performance measures that enable business leaders to make informed decisions
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through the interpretation of customer, marketing, and operational data
  • Champion the use of data as a strategic asset across the organisation

Performance & Commercial Intelligence

  • Design and oversee reporting that provides clear visibility of business performance across acquisition, conversion, and retention
  • Produce analysis that explains performance drivers and supports investment decisions
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to translate data into practical recommendations that deliver measurable value
  • Continuously evaluate key performance indicators to ensure business objectives remain on track

Digital Analytics & Optimisation

  • Lead the measurement of digital products and customer interactions, ensuring robust insight into user behaviour
  • Partner with product, marketing, and commercial teams to identify opportunities to improve customer experiences
  • Oversee experimentation programmes, assessing outcomes and communicating recommendations based on statistical evidence and commercial impact
  • Promote a culture of continuous testing and optimisation

Data Collection & Measurement Frameworks

  • Establish best practice for digital measurement, ensuring tracking standards remain accurate and consistent
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of tagging and event measurement across digital platforms
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data quality, governance, and reliable reporting
  • Act as the subject matter expert for digital analytics and measurement methodologies

Reporting & Analytics Capability

  • Develop scalable dashboards and reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Introduce new approaches to data visualisation and self-service reporting
  • Ensure stakeholders receive timely, relevant, and accessible insights
  • Drive continuous improvements in analytics processes, tools, and reporting standards

About You

You are an experienced analytics leader who combines technical expertise with strong commercial awareness. You enjoy working with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex data into clear business actions, and developing teams that deliver high-quality analytical outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrable experience leading analytics or business intelligence functions
  • Strong knowledge of digital analytics platforms and performance measurement
  • Experience designing analytical frameworks that support business growth
  • A track record of delivering insights that influence strategic decision-making
  • Knowledge of experimentation techniques and data-driven optimisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using tools such as SQL, Excel, and business intelligence platforms
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working collaboratively across commercial, marketing, product, technology, and operational teams
  • A passion for developing people, improving processes, and embedding a data-driven culture throughout the organisation

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within customer-focused, digital, or commercial environments
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics, forecasting, or advanced statistical techniques
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics ecosystems
  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide reporting and business intelligence initiatives
