Shape the Future of Data Architecture for a Global Corporate & Investment Bank
An exciting opportunity to work with an internationally recognised financial institution as a head of data architecture to define and execute the enterprise-wide data architecture strategy across its Corporate & Investment banking business.
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the bank's most strategic transformation initiatives, establishing the target-state data architecture that will power AI, advanced analytics, regulatory excellence and business growth across global markets.
You'll work alongside senior executives across Business, Technology, Operations, Risk and Data to transform how one of the world's leading financial institutions manages and leverages data.
The Opportunity
As the Head of Data Architecture, you will:
- Develop and execute the end-to-end Data Architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and enterprise data strategy.
- Lead the architecture workstream across major transformation and digitisation programmes.
- Define enterprise data domains, ownership models and logical data models.
- Design scalable data architectures that enable AI, analytics and regulatory reporting.
- Drive data sourcing strategies and oversee integration across complex technology landscapes.
- Establish enterprise standards for metadata, business glossary, data lineage and data modelling.
- Partner with senior leaders across Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Architecture to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Build governance frameworks that improve data quality, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Lead global teams of data architects while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability and excellence.
- Influence executive stakeholders and become the trusted advisor on enterprise data architecture.

This role will suit leaders who have:
- 10+ years' experience within corporate and investment banking
- Extensive experience in enterprise Data Architecture leadership
- Deep understanding of CIB products, processes and operating models
- Strong expertise in:
- Enterprise Data Architecture
- Data Domain Design
- Logical & Conceptual Data Modelling
- Data Products
- Metadata Management
- Data Lineage
- Data Governance
- Data Quality
- Led large-scale enterprise transformation or digitisation programmes
- Strong stakeholder management experience at Executive and C-Suite level
- Experience working across global organisations and multiple jurisdictions
- A track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Experience across multiple CIB business areas such as Markets, Transaction Banking, Coverage or Capital Markets will be highly regarded.
