Hiring: Interim Head of Data Engineering
Contract | Remote / occasional UK travel
Urgent contract requirement for a senior Data Engineering leader to support a Microsoft Fabric data platform programme.
This is an initial 6 month contract role for someone who can bring structure, technical standards and delivery discipline to a data engineering function.

Must have:
- Strong data engineering leadership experience
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Synapse, Databricks or similar platform background
- Ability to assess and raise technical standards
- Experience leading permanent and contractor engineering teams
- Strong delivery focus across pipelines, lakehouse / warehouse, data quality and reporting outputs
- Comfortable operating in a high-scrutiny programme environment
- Able to start at short notice
